Other twelve-year-olds have just completed a year of first grade, or have yet to start. Lawrence is different. He was barely ten when he started higher education. He completed his university education in just two years. ‘Ordinary students’ take five years to do this. ,,I haven’t reached my maximum yet, my limits are higher”, says the young PhD-to-be.
Laurent tells his story from Italy. Immediately after obtaining his degree, he went on a journey. Well deserved. “In the end I did my master’s in one year instead of two,” he says. In the first semester I had already taken all my exams, so all that remained was my thesis and my internship.” He did the latter in Germany at the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität.
