According to the Associated Press, the person who released the documents was a child who did not pursue the goal of revealing state secrets, but wanted to impress his group.
The man who “leaked” classified US intelligence data about plans for the Ukrainian counter-offensive may be a child under the pseudonym “Luka”. This was reported by the Associated Press on April 11, quoted by the Ukrainian Focus.
The publication claims to have spoken with a member of the Discord chat group that has been “leaking” documents for several months. He is known to be 18 years old but is not being named out of concern for his personal safety.
The youth said he contacted the media to clear the reputation of a third party using the pseudonym “Luka”. It is he who published the documents, which caused a stir in the information space of the whole world.
“Luca is just a kid. He just kept posting this to screw with people,” the Discord user added.
At the same time, the publication’s interlocutor does not say who originally uploaded the documents to Thug Shaker Central. And it is impossible to verify who this person worked for and what interests he pursued according to this data.
The interlocutor believes that the person who published the documents was not aware of the scale and did not pursue any ideology. Simply, according to him, it was a banal desire to impress his group.
The Discord user noted that if the “original source” is arrested, then he has copies of “over a hundred” pages of documents that he is threatening to leak.
