Child abuser who doused child with corrosive liquid gets two years in prison Inland

Medical records show that the child was beaten, kicked, thrown and once doused with a corrosive liquid.

The child has permanent scars on her face from chemical burns, which may have been caused by bleach. While reading the verdict, the court quoted one of the aid workers involved as calling it the most serious form of child abuse known.

According to the girl’s statement, P. told her to close her eyes “because this is going to hurt.” After pouring the liquid, she was put under a boiling hot shower and was hit on her head with the shower head.

Bipolar disorder

The 33-year-old man has denied his involvement during a previous hearing. He has dismissed witnesses who described his previous violent behavior towards his stepdaughter and her mother as incorrect.

In addition to child abuse, P., who has also been convicted in the past for assaulting ex-partners, was also found guilty of assaulting the girl’s mother and threatening another ex-girlfriend.

In P., among other things, bipolar disorder and manic depression have been observed. In view of his history with his ex-partners and the high risk of recidivism, the court has imposed tbs with conditions for these facts. Because it is not clear whether the man also suffered from a disorder at the time of the child abuse, the TBS does not apply to these incidents.
