Parents in the UK have difficulty getting calamine lotion that relieves chickenpox itching.
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — A Twitter user advised parents to buy lotion scale wherever they could find it. They suspect there will be an epidemic chicken pox massively in the future, although no one has officially announced it yet.
“FYI old man, I suggest you guys keep the lotion scale wherever you can find it. There seems to be a massive chickenpox outbreak and manufacturers will be running out of lotions scale“wrote one user Twitter.
Stock scale it’s empty starting from the shop online, Tesco, Morrisons, Amazon, to Wilkos in the UK. Even so, Boots and Asda still provide products that are used to relieve mild itching caused by chickenpox.
“We spent two days searching scale in various pharmacies/supermarkets,” wrote another user, quoted from page Express.co.ukWednesday (22/6/2022).
“We are aware of lotion manufacturers scale currently experiencing supply constraints, but it can be resolved by the end of June, “said a spokesman for the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
DHSC ensures that there are a variety of alternative products available should the community need them. People need to talk to a pharmacist or ask for a prescription from a doctor.
“We have well-established procedures for dealing with drug shortages and production stoppages, and are working with multiple stakeholders, to ensure that risks to patients are minimized when they arise,” he said.
Chickenpox has several symptoms, the most common of which is an itchy, mottled rash. This rash can appear on any part of the body. The National Health Service in the UK says these spots can also:
• Spread out or live in a small area
• Becomes red, pink, darker, or the same color as the surrounding skin
• More difficult to see in browns and blacks.
