‘Chichila’ Navia remembers her role in ‘Escobar, el patron del mal’: “as a woman she caused me pain”

The renowned Colombian actress Cecilia ‘Chichila’ Navia She is one of the most recognized actresses in Colombia, not only for her relationship with the famous actor Santiago Alarcon, but for more than three decades dedicated to national television.

This is what she herself recalled through her Instagram account this Wednesday, when she took advantage of an unforeseen change in her plans to dedicate time to the wide community of users who follow her on this platform, to whom she opened a question box for them they could know more about his professional and personal life.

In that sense, there were several comments that led Navia to remember the first program in which she participated, for example. “I started when I was 4 years old on the television set of a children’s program from the 80s called ‘Little Giants’ (1986) and, since then, I have not stopped ”, he assured.

They also asked him about his brothers and it was there that he remembered his time in the series’Oki doki'(1992), in which he gave life to the endearing character of ‘Mechas’, as he says that he considers each of the actors with whom he collaborated there as his own family.

However, one of the responses that most caught the attention of the followers of ‘Chichila’ was when He referred to his performance in ‘Escobar, el patron del mal’ (2012), a novel in which she played Patricia Urrea de Escobar, widow of the late mafia boss who did so much damage to Colombia, whose name in real life is Maria Isabel Santos Caballero, after the change of identity that she made, because her name was María Victoria Henao.

According to the actress born 41 years ago in Pitalito (Huila), there are several sensations that, as a woman and an actress, playing this character caused her.

“As an actress, gratitude; as a Colombian, conscience; and as a woman, pain, a lot of pain ”, commented ‘Chichila’ Navia.

And it is that Cecilia’s words are not very different from those that Escobar’s widow emits every time she remembers the “hell” that she had to live for her life dedicated to drug trafficking. Even in several interviews that he has given to remember the past, She admits that at the time she was not aware of the gender violence that she lived through for so long. Reason why she had to go through several therapies that made her understand that she was married to a psychopath.

On the other hand, the businesswoman from Huila answered other questions a little more personal, about her lifestyle and the good relationship between husbands she has with Alarcón, of which she gave the key. “(It works) because we both believe in love, in respect for the other and that we both have the right to choose, and that is what our country needs,” he said.

In turn, he mentioned that he does a lot of exercise and, regarding the overweight that he suffered at some point, he warns that he is careful in his diet to maintain his current figure, but above all, he stressed the need to understand that that woman with several extra kilos is just a stage in the past.
