The compact crossover Chery Tiggo 4 appeared on our market in 2019, and three years later it was replaced by an updated version of Tiggo 4 Pro. In China, where this SUV is sold under the name Tiggo 5x, another modernization was carried out at the same time, and now the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro is preparing to enter the Russian market. Moreover, in the form of a special version on the occasion of Chery’s “coming of age” in Russia: the Chinese brand has been officially present on our market for 18 years.
On the outside, Chery Tiggo 4 Pro 18 years edition is no different from the current “four”. But the interior has been thoroughly redone: the entire front panel has been completely redone. The main thing is the screens of the digital instrument panel and media system (each 10.25 inches diagonal) combined into one body and without a visor. The ventilation deflectors are now disguised as an insert across the entire width of the front panel, and the central tunnel has acquired a different design. It now has a platform for wireless charging of gadgets and a compartment for small items with a lid, and the climate control panel is still fully touch-sensitive (although cars for the Chinese market have rotating handles).
Chery Tiggo 4 Pro 18 years edition will be offered in five trim levels: Action MT, Action, Family, Style and Ultimate. The current “four” have six of them, so the “average” version of Travel will disappear from the price lists. But the new interior with combined screens will appear in only three trim levels: Family, Style and Ultimate. Their composition will be slightly revised, but without fundamental changes. For example, the most expensive Ultimate version has six airbags, ESP, leather interior with white inserts, a full “winter” package, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, a sunroof and much more.
No changes have been announced regarding technology. Chery Tiggo 4 Pro 18 years edition will be offered with a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine (113 hp, 138 Nm), which is equipped with a five-speed manual or CVT, as well as with a turbo engine of the same volume (147 hp, 210 Nm) and a non-alternative variator. Drive is only on the front axle; there are no all-wheel drive Tiggo 4s.
Prices for “adult” Chery Tiggo 4 Pro 18 years edition have not yet been disclosed. They will be announced along with the start of sales, which will take place in the coming weeks. The regular Tiggo 4 Pro now costs from 2.1 million to 2.6 million rubles.
