entertainment">Friday wrote Cher that she spoke to her mother about the criminal trial against the cop, who Floyd last year for minutes on end with fatal consequences. “I said, Mom, it may sound crazy but I keep thinking that maybe I could have helped if I had been there,” the singer said in a now deleted tweet.

entertainment">Cher now understands that it was not so useful. “I just called my friend Karen,” she writes. “I told her what happened and realized that you can anger and hurt people by being ignorant of whether something is inappropriate. I know people apologize when they’re in trouble and I’m terribly sorry if I upset anyone in the Black Lives Matter movement. ”
