Chechen Leader’s Son, Adam Kadyrov, Assaults Ukrainian Man in Russian Detention Center

GROZNY – Adam Kadyrov, 15-year-old boy, son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, has attacked a man of origin Ukraine who was arrested on charges burn the Qur’an of Volgograd, Russia.

Mykyta Zhuravel (19) said she was attacked in the Grozny pre-trial detention center by Adam Kadyrov.

Zhuravel is originally from Ukraine, but moved to Volgograd from Crimea, a Russian-controlled territory, and worked as a food delivery boy.

Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova was quoted as saying Pravda, Thursday (17/8/2023), claimed to have received a complaint from Zhuravel.

“I have received an appeal from Mykyta Zhuravel, who has been charged and is being held in a pre-trial detention center in Grozny. She claims that she was physically assaulted by Adam Kadyrov, son of the Head of the Chechen Republic, during his visit to the detention center,” Moskalkova said.

Chechen Human Rights Commissioner Mansur Soltaev said he had spoken to Zhuravel, who told him he had met with Ramzan Kadyrov, only to be attacked by Adam Kadyrov as the Chechen leader was leaving his cell. “He allegedly hit his arms and legs,” he said.

Soltaev promised that this case would be investigated.

Previously, the social media group was pro-government ChP/Vainakh and ChP/Grozny reported an incident involving Zhuravel. They me-posting identical content, citing information from the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service in Chechnya.
