The European Union is working on a new law to stop the spread of images of child abuse on the Internet. In May, the EU Commission presented its draft for the so-called chat control. According to this, popular messenger services should be obliged to search for relevant content. However, there is sharp criticism because data protectionists fear that encrypted communication will be infiltrated. Also the German one Justice Minister Marco Buschmann expressed skepticism. Apparently rightly so.
