In Stephen Chow’s movie “The Trickster”, the actor Charlie Cao, who came to the audience’s attention with a line of dialogue “You can’t move away”, actually got involved with Myanmar’s telecom fraud complex. Recently, many Hong Kong celebrities have gone viral on the Internet for telecom fraud. The founder of the park, Bai Yingcang, sent a birthday blessing video, which caused an uproar. Among them, 73-year-old Charlie Cao came forward on the 18th and admitted that he had made a blessing video, but did not know who it was for at the time. Now that he has learned the truth, he decided to apologize to the public.

Charlie Cao said in the video that when he returned from abroad in August last year, he received a line from his manager at the time, asking him to shoot a birthday greeting video. When he saw that line, he thought it was a bit strange, and it looked like a figure in the world. He originally wanted to refuse the dialogue, but his agent said, “It’s okay, many celebrities have filmed it.” So he filmed a blessing video, but he still didn’t know who it was for.

Charlie Cao later learned that this blessing was for the leader of the fraud group, so he shot a video to explain to the public that he did not know this group of people in Myanmar at all, and had blocked his manager at the time. He apologized, “I admit that after I came back, I had no choice but to do it for money and life.” He admitted that he shot the blessing video because he had money. “Please forgive me for this behavior.”

In addition to Charlie Cao, artists such as Eric Tsang, Huang Yifei, Du Xudong, Hou Yaohua and others also appeared in the birthday blessing video for Bai Yingcang. According to “Red Star News”, one of the artist’s managers revealed that many people privately ask celebrities to record videos, and some businesses rely on this to make money. Artists usually cooperate out of love, but they don’t know who the video is recorded to. Who actually does not necessarily have anything to do with the other party.
