Charel P. about fatal quarrel with ‘Sissi’ in chalet: ‘A big haze’ | Inland

The couple lived together in a chalet in the Gelderse Voorthuizen, where they got into an argument and a struggle came to a head. “What happened in the chalet is a big blur to me,” Charel P. told the judge on Monday. P. hit her in the head and knocked a knife out of her hands. Sissi remained aggressive, he told police. He sat on top of her, but she continued to resist. According to the Public Prosecution Service, P. then pressed his right hand to her throat until she stopped moving.

Charel P. said he thought she was unconscious. He dragged her out by her arms and put her in her own car. Then he went back to get a duvet and doormats. He put it over her. Then P. drove to De Witte Bergen.

‘Broken’

The suspect and Ouazil were initially both missing. Charel P.’s family emailed him: “We are very concerned, mate. We are destroyed by this.” And later again: “Maatje, please let me know.” Charel P. responded to the email on 6 October. “I’ll call you tomorrow brother, I’m all right.”

Ouazil had a daughter who lived with her parents. Charel P. also had two children from a previous relationship. The victim appeared to have been strangled. Charel P. himself was mistreated, kidnapped and extorted in 2017 because of a debt in the drug environment. It would then have involved a debt of 80,000 euros.

In 2020 Charel P. could still be seen in an episode of the TV program Danny & The Brotherhood. He was president of the Sin Miedo motorcycle club at the time but was moved back in the hierarchy. He would no longer be a member of the club at all.
