Changju’s Center for the Nations screams and resists when it is ordered to close

I do not cooperate with quarantine… Closed until COVID-19 subsides

[앵커]

The BTJ World Center, a missionary facility in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, which spread more than 400 confirmed cases nationwide, was finally ordered to close today (7th). It was a place where we had a secret meeting while violating the quarantine guidelines. When the officials left, they asked if there was a warrant and even struggled.

This is reporter Jo Bo-kyung.

A man intercepts the Sangju mayor and officials trying to enter the building.

[(영장 가지고 오셨습니까?) 영장 필요 없는 겁니다. (영장 필요합니다. 영장 필요합니다.)]

It dries around, but doesn’t listen.

I even had a body fight.

[(손대지 마! 손대지 마!) 영장 없이 들어가시는 것은 (손 놔 이거!) 형법에 어긋납니다.]

It was blocked when the resident city issued an administrative order to close the BTJ World Center, which has recently been confirmed one after another.

The man continued to make a fuss while the official in charge read the letter.

[일시적 폐쇄 및 교통 일부 차단에 대해 행정처분을 하겠습니다. (돌아가십시오!)]

Sangju City, Gyeongbuk, has decided to close the center from noon today until Corona 19 subsides.

A quarantine guard post is installed at the entrance, and people are inspected 24 hours a day.

Sangju said that the center had no choice but to close it because it did not cooperate with the quarantine.

They interfered with quarantine, such as holding meetings inside secretly and avoiding calls from authorities.

[(지난 4일)  : (여기 오늘 사람이 모이면 안 되는 데 왜 사람이 모였어요?) 업무합니다, 업무. (무슨 업무?) 저희 센터 원래 업무.]

This place was accused of three times by Sangju for violating quarantine measures, such as holding an event in October last year in which 2,500 people participated.

Today, it was belatedly revealed that a confirmed missionary lied that he did not go even after visiting this place.

Eventually, 15 people including the missionary family were confirmed one after another.

The number of confirmed cases from the Center of the Nations surpassed 400 nationwide, as a tentative count by local governments.
