Reconstruction in the government was announced shortly after elections presidential. Apparently, Mateusz Morawiecki himself wanted it. – There is a desire to give new dynamics and impulse after the holidays. I know that the prime minister also cares about it and it is also his idea to make some changes – one of the prime minister’s close associates spoke anonymously with us. Was it an idea of Morawiecki himself or Jarosław Kaczyński? The answer is rather obvious. The PiS president has released a genie from the bottle and is watching the reactions of the reactions in the power camp.
Reconstruction wrapped in weight loss
Officially, the reconstruction is to reduce the number of ministers, deputy ministers and the ministries themselves. Law and Justice deputy Ryszard Terlecki even announced that the coalition partners, the Gowin Agreement and the Solidarity Poland agreement, would get only one ministry each. It brings a slight smile to the politicians of both parties with whom we speak. – This is unrealistic, Terlecki’s statement was simply to probe our reactions – tells us one of the important politicians Gowin. Another, from PiS, adds that the president wants to maintain the coalition, so speculation about cutting Gowin is only in the media.
– Of course weakening Gowin will take place, but it is not done by capsizing a boat while it is flowing. This can be done behind the scenes, de facto recruiting his people, and not sending him into space, because this would endanger the coalition – claims one of the important politicians Law and Justice. Jarosław Gowin is therefore to return to the Ministry of Science, and Jadwiga Emilewicz is to remain the Minister of Development. What about Ziobro? – His position is unchallenged – he showed his loyalty, but we can see that he is building a formation to the right of us and is looking for his way politically – he adds.
Changes in the government. Which ministers will leave? Which ministries will disappear?
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jacek Czaputowicz, will surely leave the government in September, as he has already announced. Who could replace him? One of the candidates could be Krzysztof Szczerski, although the latest mishap with the president being recorded by Russian comedians is also a serious scratch on his image. – The issue with comedians will not matter, the European ambitions of Krzysztof Szczerski may be more important – one of the informants tells us. Konrad Szymański, today’s minister for European Union affairs, could appear among the natural candidates, then his ministry could naturally return to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. – Szymański is a serious candidate, especially after the last EU summit. There is a certain logic in this, he may not be the favorite of the party and the president, but trust premiere ma – tells us one of the PiS politicians. There is no doubt that in this position, the ruling party needs a calm player who understands the EU, especially in the face of the upcoming rule of law disputes.
– Reconstruction will most likely sweep the Ministry of Digital Affairs. There are two scenarios: a government agency will be created in its place, which will be supervised by MON or the Ministry of Interior and Administration, or the ministry of digitization will go to the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, one of the informants tells us. – Reshuffles could indeed improve the decision-making process in the ministry – adds an anonymously one of the PiS politicians. This means that Minister Marek Zagórski and three deputy ministers will lose their portfolios or simply change their functions on business cards. The new governmental agenda for digitization or the transfer of the ministry to the Chancellery of the Prime Minister are scenarios that have been considered for a very long time, now a story with an attempt to slim the government would fit them.
Of course, there will be more changes. Castle in the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy seems inevitable, because the current head of the ministry, Marlena Maląg, had – as we hear – “too many media mishaps and too little success in social policy”. Who could replace her? One of the natural candidates is Stanisław Szwed, the current deputy minister, but – as we hear – decisions have not been made yet.

How many de facto ministries can disappear?
The president’s ambition is to leave about 12 ministries out of 20 today, but it cannot be done in one fell swoop, tells us a PiS politician from Jarosław Kaczyński’s entourage.
Therefore, it is most likely that ensuring all coalition partners a seat in the government will not allow for a radical reduction in the composition of the government. It is quite easy to achieve a slimming effect, for example, through reshuffles in the ministries of climate and environment.
