The starting grid on the Losail International Circuit will be the same as the qualifying results in the event of no penalties. In Qatar we don’t see any shifts due to engine changes, for example, as we have often seen in recent races. Lewis Hamilton will start from pole position.
Next to Hamilton is Pierre Gasly. Max Verstappen qualified in second place but is pushed back five places after ignoring double yellow flags during Q3 in qualifying. Valtteri Bottas also receives a grid penalty, the Finn is three places back.
