They had warned. At 6 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023, a hundred people gathered in front of the Paris Theaterwhere the 34th edition of the Night of the Molières. At the call of the unions in the world of entertainment, they had planned a “non-welcome committee” of the Minister of Culture, Rima Abdul Malakwith “pots and pipes” to protest against the pension reform.

On different songs of demands (“We too, we will go through in force”, “Even if Macron does not want, we are here”…), equipped with saucepans and other “portable sound devices”, the activists waited for the arrival of the Minister of Culture to hope to give him Molière “pans and pipes”had announced the CGT Spectacle in a message posted this weekend.
Before 8 p.m., according to videos shared on social networks, the demonstrators were dispersed by the police.
The Molières ceremony will be broadcast on France 3 from 9:15 p.m. The CGT Spectacle had warned that it would take this year “a claiming form”. The union criticizes Rima Abdul Malak for “his silence” in the face of the pension reform: “Not a word to support our profession in the face of this reform, not a word to save the public service of Culture and its jobs”, he had estimated in a press release.
