CES 2020: Samsung presents spherical mini robots

Samsung introduced a new robot at CES 2020 in Las Vegas. The spherical ballie should roll independently through the apartment with the help of AI.

During the keynote, Hyun Suk Kim, CEO of the Consumer Electronics division, presented the little robot himself on the stage and let Ballie slip into his hand on command.

In the official announcement video, the electronics giant showed other functions that Ballie could perform in the future. Whether as a security robot, fitness assistant or as an aid for seniors. Ballie sees everything and moves autonomously through the room. Networked with your own smart home, Ballie could be an additional everyday help, for example by instructing a vacuum robot to clean. Or it will just be a toy or mechanical pet.

Samsung left it open when and whether Ballie would be launched.
