This travel declaration must be in your possession if you are traveling within a perimeter defined by a 100 km radius circle around your home, outside your department. The distance is calculated as the crow flies.

If your trip is more than 100 km but within your department, it is not necessary to have the certificate. It is also not necessary for any trip of less than 100 km.

What are the reasons for being able to use it?
The form offers seven reasons for traveling:
- journeys between the place of residence and the place or places of exercise of the professional activity, and professional travel which cannot be postponed (case n ° 1)
- journeys between the place of residence and the school carried out by a person who is schooled there or in the company of a schooled person and journeys necessary to go to exams or competitions (case n ° 2)
- travel for consultations and specialized care that cannot be provided remotely or near the home (case 3)
- displacement for imperative family reasons, for the assistance of vulnerable persons and for childcare (case n ° 4)
- displacements resulting from an obligation of presentation to the national police or gendarmerie services or to any other service or professional, imposed by the administrative police authority or the judicial authority (case n ° 5)
- trips resulting from a summons from an administrative court or the judicial authority (case n ° 6)
- travel for the sole purpose of participating in missions of general interest at the request of the administrative authority and under the conditions it specifies (case 7)
The travel declaration also provides a permanent check box in the event of “recurrent business travel”. This means that, in this case, it is not necessary to complete this declaration daily, but to complete it only once.

What is a compelling family motive?
According to the government website, a compelling family reason is “a displacement the necessity of which cannot be questioned: injury of a loved one, accompaniment of a vulnerable or non-autonomous person, death of a close family member” .

Is an additional document necessary?
This declaration of displacement must be accompanied by proof of address dated less than one year and any document justifying the reason for the displacement.
