Central Kalimantan HIV-AIDS Case Reaches 1,501 People in the Last 5 Years

“Central Kalimantan Province, cumulatively HIV-AIDS cases in the last 5 years, HIV-Aids as many as 1,501 people, consisting of 903 HIV people, while AIDS 598 people,” said Katma when reading the Central Kalimantan Governor’s remarks at the HIV-AIDS commemoration activity, Sunday December 5, 2021.

According to Katma, this figure is small when compared to the national estimate that in Central Kalimantan there are 4,310 cases of HIV-AIDS. This shows that only 34 percent of HIV-AIDS cases have been found, while the other 66 percent have not been treated.

In an effort to improve the prevention and control of HIV-AIDS, the Ministry of Home Affairs has stipulated Permendagri number 100 of 2018, concerning Minimum Service Standards (SPM).

The MSS regulates the types of basic services for the community, namely Education, HIV testing/checking, and Referral for further treatment.
