Therefore, Ganjar asked all components of society to remain vigilant. He also hoped that the central government would tighten the entrance to Indonesia considering the origin of this outbreak from outside the country.

“We ask because there must be external influences. Ganjar said that the monkeypox epidemic was a concern in Central Java. The Governor of Central Java conveyed this after it was found that a resident of Central Java was suspected of having monkeypox or monkeypox.

A resident is still undergoing isolation and his condition is being monitored intensively by the Central Java Provincial Health Office (Dinkes). “We are still monitoring it to this day. Yesterday there was something like that [cacar monyet]but it is still being investigated,” he said.

Ganjar explained that the patient was symptomatic, but it was not confirmed that he was positive for monkeypox. “We have not dared to determine whether it is monkeypox or not. But we are still monitoring,” he said.

He said similar cases had been found. Patients with monkeypox-like symptoms, he continued, but the results of the examination were negative.

“In the past, someone came into us. I’ve checked, but the results of the last lab examination are not. Thank God,” he said.

However, he appealed to the people of Indonesia, especially Central Java, not to panic. He advised the public to maintain a healthy lifestyle and mandatory health protocols.

Separately, the Head of the Central Java Health Office, Yunita Dyah Suminar, said that the suspected monkeypox patient in Central Java was undergoing isolation. His condition is still being monitored intensively by the local hospital.
