The Cenonnaise company Karman , specializing in health and hygiene products, has joined forces with HeiQ, a Swiss company specializing in the development of innovative materials, to launch the Karman Activ’Protect mask. This mask, type IIR, uses the patented technology of HeiQ Viroblack. Applied to the outer fabric of the mask during the last step of the manufacturing process, it helps destroy germs, bacteria and viruses. It has been tested in independent third-party virology institutes.
In particular, tissue samples treated with HeiQ Viroblock showed a reduction in viral load of over 99.68% in five minutes and over 99.99% in 30 minutes. The technology has also demonstrated a 99.9% reduction in Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae, 99.95% for the H1N1 virus and 99.9% for the human coronavirus 229E. “We have chosen to raise the bar even higher in order to offer our customers a high-performance, high-quality mask,” says Samuel Praicheux, director of Karman. “This mask is particularly suitable for all health professionals, the vulnerable people who need to protect themselves effectively on a daily basis but also for all people in contact with the public in environments with high attendance. »
