The vines in Provence have been blessed by nature with maximum sunshine and ideal soil. It is no coincidence that the Côtes de Provence have such a good reputation. This famous appellation extends over an immense territory which covers 18,000 hectares of vines: it includes the Var hinterland from Luc to Estérel and the Mediterranean border from Hyères to Fréjus via Saint -Tropez. The fresh and fruity rosé takes center stage in this region. Ambassador of Provence, he is directly associated with summer, Provencal cuisine and the sweetness of life that reigns in Provence.
Between Hyères, Giens peninsula and St-Tropez, in the middle of palm trees, La Londe borders the foothills of the Massif des Maures and faces the Iles d’Or. Since 1929, Château Sainte Marguerite has been a 102 hectare Cru Classé vineyard on the terroir of Londe Les Maures, a village on the Var coast with very rich soil and exceptional climatic conditions. It produces high quality wines. Since 1977, the Fayard family has been passionately cultivating vines in organic farming on shale and clay soils. The property produces 60% rosé.
The tasting
The Grenache and Cinsault plants come from vines dating from 1936 located on well-oriented hillsides, resting on clay-siliceous soils, with pebbles and broken quartz. This unique cuvée represents the precision and sensitivity of this terroir.
The dress is very light pink, shiny and limpid
The nose is delicate and fine
The mouth delicately reveals aromas of white fruit and citrus with remarkable length
Word from a proit is a wine of great gastronomy that you will taste with an elaborate cuisine, such as a risotto of truffles, scallops or any other noble product.
