Celebrities Promoting Vaccination: Xuxa, Salma Hayek, David Beckham, and More

Vaccines stimulate the body’s immune system to protect a person against infection or disease. For this reason, around the world campaigns are presented to raise awareness of how essential vaccination is.

Personalities from the world of sports, singers and other artists also participate in these campaigns. What celebrities are promoting vaccination? We bring you some names.

Xuxa, better known as the “Queen of the Shorties” joined a campaign in Brazil together with Zé Gotinhaa Brazilian mascot that was created to promote vaccination against poliovirus.

Former British soccer player David Beckham, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and founder of Fund 7 for UNICEF, spearheaded a global initiative to encourage parents around the world to get their children vaccinated by 2021.
