Finally, the CEC announced the results of the vote for the new parliament! There are six parties entering the National Assembly, three of them for the first time. The candidates of the GERB-UDF coalition received the most preferences, and the least – in Slavi Trifonov’s party “There is such a people”. The final rearrangement of the lists will become clear on Sunday.

The first political force is GERB with 25.8%. The second place with 17.4% is for Slavi Trifonov’s party “There is such a people”. BSP ranks third with 14.79 percent. It is followed by MRF with 10.36%, “Democratic Bulgaria” – 9.31% and the coalition “Stand up! Get out!” – 4.65%. The data are from the published decision of the CEC.

GERB gets 75 seats, “There is such a people” – 51, BSP – 43, MRF – 30, “Democratic Bulgaria” will have 27 deputies, and “Stand up! Get out!” – with 14 MPs.

Turnout was about 4 percent lower than in the 2017 election. On Sunday, more than three million and three hundred thousand Bulgarian citizens went to the polls, which makes a turnout of 50.61%. The highest number of voters was in Sofia district, and the lowest in Kardzhali – 28%. For reference, in the previous parliamentary elections in 2017, the turnout was higher – 54 percent.

The Central Election Commission removed six people from the MRF and two from the GERB / ​​UDF coalition from the list of elected deputies after receiving applications from them. Among them is Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, who has resigned.

A total of 3,334,283 people voted on April 4. The total number of invalid ballots, erroneous ballots and ballots destroyed by PECs on other occasions was 44,604.

The number of actual votes cast in the ballot box for the candidate lists of parties, coalitions and initiative committees is 2,424,409. The number of actual votes for the candidate lists from the machine voting is 775,959. There are no invalid votes from the machine vote. The actual votes with “I do not support anyone” are 47,749. Of these, 14,082 voted for this vote by machine, according to CEC data.
