According to the information available to the SPKC, 18 patients have been infected from known sources of infection, including eight of them related to an industrial enterprise.
The conditions of infection are being clarified for four more people. The epidemiological investigation is ongoing.
One patient with Covid-19 has been hospitalized in the last 24 hours, and a total of seven patients are being treated in hospitals, all with moderate disease.
A total of 222 patients were discharged from the hospital, according to the National Health Service.
The information at the disposal of SPKC shows that in an industrial production company outside Riga the case of Covid-19 was detected ten employees. Previously, a focal of Covid-19 was discovered in the food manufacturer “Forevers”, but in the last two days no new cases of Covid-19 have been detected in this company, the company stressed.
A total of 304,221 examinations were performed in Latvia, 1,594 persons became ill and 1248 recovered, 36 died.
