CDMX returns to green light on March 7; continues vaccination for lagging children and adults

The capital authorities announced that Mexico City will return to the green color of the epidemiological traffic light on Monday, March 7 and will remain in that range for at least two weeks. This decision in the face of a drop in health indicators, especially hospitalization.

At the last cut, 825 patients with Covid-19 were registered in the clinical units of the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico, a reduction of almost 700 hospitalized compared to the last week.

It was also announced that the positivity in tests at macrokiosks and health centers has been reduced by about 96% in relation to the maximum reached on January 17, 2022. On average, 305 daily cases of Covid-19 are registered. Positivity is found in 10% of all tests.

The capital authorities also mentioned that the national vaccination program will continue to operate during the following week:

It was announced that the coverage of adults aged 18 and over with reinforcement is found in 84% of the target population. Just over 21 million doses have been applied.
