During this time of confinement, there is nothing like the love of a pet, declared the mayor of Azcapotzalco, Vidal Llerenas, after urging citizens to adopt pets.
The local president reported that people can adopt a dog, through the Azcapotzalco Canine Control Center, located in street Uzkadi 02660, which has different programs such as voluntary adoption and in-kind support.
How to adopt a pet?
- Send a direct message on the Facebook page: Canine and feline adoptions Azcapotzalco.
- Fill out an online form and send proof of residence no more than three months and a copy of your INE.
- Meet the puppy you want to adopt, live with him at the Canine Control Center.
- Take it home and send follow-up photos to ensure the canine is treated correctly.
“In this time of confinement, where we all suffer from greater social isolation, adopting a dog from the Azcapotzalco Canine Control CenterNot only does it help us to raise our quality of life and feel more connected, but with our actions we support other living beings that need our love and care and in return they can give us many pleasant moments and company, “said the mayor.

The mayor of the district stressed that if citizens want to support, but cannot adopt an animal, they can participate in the volunteer program, in which they go to the Canine Control Center, to walk a puppy for 30 minutes.
He indicated that neighbors can also contribute with donations in kind, which the Canine Center as:

- Cookies
- Wet food in envelope

- Necklaces
- Towels
- Shampoo
- Brushes
- Biodegradable bags to collect feces
- Toys
- Medium and large size sweaters.
