C’Chartres Football is working on a possible appeal

It was on March 7 that the National 2 Championship had its last day. At this instant T, Saint-Brieuc, at the head of group B with two points ahead of Chartres and seven over Rouen (one game less), was declared “promoted” in National by the FFF, after the 21st day, nine games from the end. A decision fallen last week that challenges the Chartrain dolphin through the voice of his manager Kader Chehida …

“I have it across my throat!” “

What is the progress for the next season, concerning the coach and the players?
Before I talk about next season, there are things I haven’t yet digested about the FFF decision. This decision to raise the 1st when the championship stopped is the most unfair. And I still have it across my throat!

That is to say ?
First, first argument: if we take the 1st of the four National 2 groups after the 21st day of the 2018/2019 season, it is not always the one that went up at the end of the exercise. In our group, for example, we were first, and it was finally Bastia-Borgo who went up (note: Chartres then had 7 points ahead of the Corsicans, ranked 4th). Only Créteil remained the leader (Pool D). The FFF can tell us, in exceptional season, exceptional measure, but there are still sporting elements that must be taken into account.

“Remedies, it’s raining at the FFF!” “

What are the other arguments?
At time T, Saint-Brieuc played one more game at home than us (11 against 10) and vice versa away. If we have to establish a fair classification, we must take both teams with the same number of matches at home and away. Which gives: -3 points for Saint-Brieuc for his last victory against the Gobelins at home and us, the defeat at Vannes (2-3) is removed. Result: Chartres 44 points and Saint-Brieuc 43 points.

So are you going to appeal to justify your “leadership position”?
We are working on this with the President so that this recourse is consistent, understandable, justifiable and defensible. We are at this stage of reflection. And at the moment, appeals, it’s raining at the FFF!

Chartres deprived of going up in National following the stop of the amateur championships

You speak of “the most unfair decision” to take the classification at time T, but if you had been in the place of Saint-Brieuc, you would have the same speech?
Obviously, I would be happy to be in National and I will not have the same speech, but Saint-Brieuc would claim the arguments that I have just stated.

“Little consideration for National 2”

So what do you think is the fairest decision?
I would be the FFF, I would have put coefficients by criteria (classification at time T, at break, the strongest team at home, etc.) and I make a classification … Why did you wait for more than five weeks to decide that? Quite simply to avoid mass recourse!

So what is the point of appealing if nothing will move?
This serves to assert our rights. I think there is not a lot of consideration for this National 2 championship. To exist a little, to have weight, you have to be at least in National!
