Caviar is already offering to pre-order a special edition of the iPhone 12 at 4510 euros in the colors of SpaceX. The object, published in 19 copies, includes a real piece of “SpaceX mission” without further details.

Caviar has made a name for itself year after year with ultra-limited (and expensive) bling-bling editions of the latest iPhones. The last time we told you about it, it was during an “anniversary” edition of the iPhone 11 Pro with a real Steve Jobs turtleneck inlaid on the back.
IPhone 12 may not be official yet, Caviar is already offering to pre-order a limited edition. This time the edition surfs on the success of Elon Musk at the head of SpaceX.

For a sum between 4510 euros (iPhone 12 Pro standard with 128 GB) and 5550 euros (iPhone 12 Pro Max 512 GB), you are entitled to a device with a silver back and edge, with a real piece of “Mission SpaceX” inlaid around the inscription “Musk be on Mars”.

A play on words with “must be on Mars” (you have to go to Mars). Caviar thus tries to surf the fascination – widely shared – around the American entrepreneur. “The designers at Caviar were inspired by the success of Crew Dragon’s flight. It’s a new era in space exploration, a new stage in our history ”, explains Caviar.
The manufacturer continues: “The Discovery Musk Be On Mars model body includes a real piece of SpaceX mission that has been in space. It is not a simple accessory, it is a valuable artefact. By owning it, you become a member of the space shuttle team, you make history, become a hero in the conquest of space ”.

The iPhone 12 “Musk be on Mars” will be manufactured in ultra-limited series – only 19 copies will be available. For now, Caviar leaves nevertheless, it should be noted, many unanswered questions. The manufacturer does not specify which materials will actually be used in this edition. Nor from which rockets the “pieces of a real SpaceX mission” will come from.
