Tuesday evening, after the blood collection, the members of the Cavan-Prat blood donation office met in a general assembly. Monique Even, the president, took stock of the year 2021.
“A complicated year with new confinements and the implementation of vaccines, however, we had two collections in Prat with 46 donors and in Cavan, 51 donors. There are 14.3% of new donors, including many young locals. I remind you that the national alert threshold was limited in 2021. I still invite the populations of Prat and Cavan to come to our next collections, especially young men not very motivated by “small bites! “I also insist on the rare bloods of the blood sub-groups which concern 700,000 French people, it can be identified during a donation”.
Treasurer Christian Laurent presented a healthy and balanced balance sheet: “There are few expenses. In addition, we honored Joseph Hellequin, a volunteer for more than 40 years who has passed the age limit for donating blood”.
