Jakarta, IDN TImes – In July 2019 Suzuki officially launched the latest Jimny. However, these cars are still rare today, even after nearly two years since its launch. What caused it? Not selling? No, but apparently because the stock is very limited.

The new Jimny is present in Indonesia in four variants, namely:
- MT (Single Tone): Rp395.500.000
- AT (Single Tone): Rp408.000.000
- MT (Two Tone): Rp398.500.000
- AT (Two Tone): Rp411.000.000
So you can see the lowest price of IDR 395 million and the most expensive price of IDR 411 million.

2. The selling price of a used Jimny is actually higher than the new price

Surprisingly, the selling price of a used Jimny is actually higher than the new price. On a used car exchange online like OLX, for example, many sell the latest Jimny for over Rp. 500 million. Even though the price of a used car is usually cheaper than the new price, unless the car is very rare.

3. Market demand is greater than the available units

There are many reasons why a used Jimny is more expensive than new. One of the reasons is the scarcity of car stocks. This makes the market demand larger than the available units, as a result the price soars.
In addition, the features offered by Jimny are also very tempting, making many people willing to spend more than the manufacturer’s price to be able to taste them.
So, instead of waiting in line for years, they are willing to buy a used Jimny even though the price is much higher than the new one.
