Shin Tae-yong admits that competing in the Asian Cup is not an easy matter. However, the 51-year-old coach believes that the Indonesian national team will be stronger after the arrival of three new naturalized players, namely Jordi Amat, Sandy Walsh, and also Shayne Pattynama.
“The Asian Cup is not easy, the opponent is stronger than now. However, with naturalized players, it will be stronger than this,” said Shin Tae-yong in Jakarta.
In addition, Shin Tae-yong assesses that his foster children have mentally and physically better than before. He was pleased with the progress shown by the Indonesian national team players.
“Mentally and physically he is improving. Very developed too,” added the South Korean coach.
With such development, Shin Tae-yong was sure Indonesian National team will enliven the 2023 Asian Cup competition. On the other hand, he also feels that the Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI) also supports him.
“From now on, it’s not only tournaments but also a team that can compete with those in the Asian Cup. The PSSI system is developing and positive,” he concluded.
