While fleeing, Absalom met David’s men.
At that time Absalom was driving his mule.
And the mule went under the boughs of the great tares, and the hair of Absalom’s head caught hold of the tares, and he hung between heaven and earth, and the mule which he rode upon.
And a certain man saw it, and told Joab, and said, I saw Absalom hanging in an oak.
So Joab took three spears in his hand and thrust them into Absalom’s chest.
