In his home country South Korea, the disaster film “Tunnel” already delighted audiences and critics in 2016. Now he’s finally coming to Germany. We present you the German trailer:

On the way home, the tunnel collapses behind Jeong-Su (Jung-woo Ha) ‘s car. He survives but is trapped. It will take a rescue team days, if not weeks, to get to him. Meanwhile, water, food and air are naturally scarce inside. A lonely struggle for survival begins, while outside the desperate rescue team, dramas of their own take place …

“Tunnel” will be available from April 16, 2021 on DVD and Blu-ray and can already be purchased from April 9, 2021 on VoD at Amazon Prime Video and Co.

In South Korea, “Tunnel” with the superstars Ha Jung-woo (“The Yellow Sea”) and Bae Doona (“The Host”, “Sense8”) in the leading roles was shown in the cinema back in 2016 and was extremely successful. Over seven million cinema tickets sold made the disaster thriller there, ahead of Hollywood hits like “Deadpool” and “Doctor Strange”, into one of the five most successful films of the year.

The critics were also enthusiastic about the dramatic struggle for survival by director Kim Seong-hun (known among other things from the Netflix zombie series “Kingdom”).
