Casetify’s insincere statement drew Dbrand’s ridicule: “Your lawyers better be better than PRs.”

Almost a day after Dbrand and JerryRigEverything accused Casetify of plagiarizing its designs for its Inside Out series, Casetify finally gave an official responsestatement. “Casetify has always been a defender of originality, and we are deeply proud of it. We are currently investigating a copyright allegation against Casetify, and the relevant products in question have been removed from all platforms as soon as possible.” Casetify wrote, “We are still investigating The accusations arose due to a DDOS attack that paralyzed the website, but now all systems are back up and all customers’ information is safe. Thank you for your patience and support during this difficult time.”

In the text, Casetify makes no mention of the accusers and offers essentially no apology. Considering that the evidence provided by Dbrand is very conclusive, it is no wonder that they feel that this statement lacks sincerity. In the X article that forwarded the statement, Dbrand directly called the other party a “clown who only knows how to copy” and mocked Casetify, “Your lawyers better be better than PRs.”In addition, they also pointed out iFixit etc. are also among those plagiarized by Casetify. Dbrand has made it clear before that it will take the matter to court. If more original creators join, Casetify will be in even greater trouble.
