In a supermarket of the Carrefour company, which is located in the city of Recife (Brazil), there was an unfortunate incident that has generated an avalanche of criticism from users of the social networks.

On August 14, a vendor, identified by Carrefour as Moisés Santos, suffered a cardiac arrest while he was working.
“The man was 53 years old and worked as a representative of a food company. He died, it seems of a sudden illness, and the body was there from 7:30 am to 11:00 am. They were waiting for the arrival of the IML (Institute of Legal Medicine) ”, Renato Barbosa, representative of another brand that was on the site, told the Brazilian newspaper ‘G1‘.
Odeliva Cavalcante, Moisés’ wife, who was also contacted by that means, was very affected by what happened. According to her, they had been married for 29 years. “I was on the bus when they called me, saying that he had suffered a seizure and had died,” she told ‘G1’.

She also pointed out that her husband’s name was not Moisés Santos, but Moisés Cavalcante. But, in addition to this incongruity, she denounced something even worse: after the death, the supermarket remained open as if nothing had happened.

Through social networks, the supermarket publicly apologized and indicated that it regrets what happened to the man who worked at its facilities.
