The Spanish Carolina Marín was proclaimed five-time champion of Europe when she beat the Danish Line Christophersen, the seventh seed by 21-13 and 21-18 in 37 minutes of the match in the final.
Marín clearly dominated the first set after the first points, but in the second Christophersen grew, reaching a level of 12. Marín rushed the blows and ended up winning 21-18 in what is already his fifth European wound.
