The Spanish and international press is already aware of Doña Letizia’s taste for costumes designed by Carolina Herrera. The queen of Spain is a fashion icon, which is why the brand’s designer and creative director Wes Gordon wants to see her in one of the striking outfits from her latest collection.
Venezuelan Carolina Herrera entrusted her emporium to the American and he is moved by the confidence she inspires in women when wearing one of her designs. So seeing the wife of King Felipe VI in one of the dresses from the cruise 2024 collection would be a dream come true.
“I am always excited to see any woman, famous or not, wearing one of my designs. It is one of the most exciting experiences a designer can have,” commented Wes Gordon in an interview with the magazine Vanity Fair.
In the conversation she made reference to the Look 59 dress, a delicate and colorful piece in Rio green that stands out for its strapless neckline and a pronounced opening on one side.
“I love this one for its clean lines and silhouette, and I think I would look gorgeous with it on,” its creator told the magazine.

Carolina Herrera’s 2024 cruise collection, which you can see in full at its website, hit the catwalks of Rio de Janeiro last June. It is dominated by striking tones such as mango yellow and green, as well as floral and polka dot prints, a total Brazilian inspiration.
