The Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, this Wednesday ruled out cutting the current capacity for sporting events despite the increase in the accumulated incidence of coronavirus infections. The public capacity, therefore, will continue to be 100% in open spaces and 80% in closed spaces. He has also assured that it is “fundamental” that both toilets such as those over 60 receive the third dose of the covid-19 vaccine before the Christmas holidays.
Darias’s appearance came a day after the Public Health Commission approved Tuesday the new traffic light covid, that modifies the risk thresholds that measure the alert level of each territory due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the restrictions of each level were not approved.
The Ministry of Health and the autonomous communities had agreed on October 27 to maintain the current capacity in sports events (100% in open spaces and 80% in closed facilities), until November 30. When these measures were adopted, the cumulative incidence rate for covid-19 was less than 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and now it is 139.10 cases.

- Controlled circulation: with less than 50 cases.
