“Nobody saw the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. I didn’t see him. I understand that it is still secreted and you can’t tell if it’s a good PNRR, a bad PNRR. You do not know who did it, with whom he worked, who are the “specialists” who drafted this document, which had to be done in collaboration with representatives from across the Romanian spectrum, regardless of the field. People from agriculture had to be involved in the PNRR, but they were completely absent. We undertook and passed on a document about which Romanians know absolutely nothing, although it is a document made for Romanians. That we do not build for Mr. Ghinea or for Mr. Cîțu.
The project has one month until approval. First of all, in the next period it has to go through the council of the Ministry of Finance, which has to look at it, and only later will it be finally approved.“, Said the MEP Carmen Avram.

Agriculture, at a standstill
“I was struck by the statement of the President of the European Commission on irrigation. Romania’s PNRR, in the top 5 most funded, according to Florin Cîțu
“The money is not given on merit, but is given on the population and how much the country has been affected. To brag that you are among the best funded if you understand that this funding comes because you have a large population and that your country has been severely affected by COVID-19, seems inappropriate.
We are funded more because we have a larger population than other EU countries (Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bulgaria). Only Italy, apart from us, has asked for the loans that are allocated to it because it is struggling in a terrible crisis.
The difference between us and Italy is that at the top of the Italian government is a man who is an international figure and who knows what to do and solve situations. We have this boy about whom we know very little and not very well. All other states, 25 in number, did not borrow, except for a few countries that borrowed up to 2-3 billion. We take 16, more than Poland, more than Germany, which as far as I know has 0 loans, and in these conditions, taking loans of 16 billion, yes, we are very well financed. We will give him this money back, in addition to the 55 billion that Mr. Cîțu has taken so far “, concluded Carmen Avram.
