Carlos Sainz wins first podium

Carlos Sainz Jr. managed to snatch the first podium in 2022 British GP Formula 1. This is the driver’s first win Ferrari it’s his entire career at F1.

The tenth series of F1 2022 takes place at the Silverstone Circuit, England, Sunday (3/7/2022) night WIB. Sainz started the race as a pole sitter.

A terrible incident occurred at the start of the race. Zhou Guanyu’s car from the Alfa Romeo team rolled over and crashed into the stands after colliding with George Russell’s (Mercedes) car.

Guanyu survived the crash, while Russell stopped at the first corner. The red flag fluttered.

Sainz kept the first position after the red flag was drawn. Max Verstappen briefly took the lead, but the world champion lost momentum when he had to enter the pits due to car damage.

Sainz took first place again and managed to keep his position until he entered the finish line. Segio Perez is behind him, followed by Lewis Hamilton who occupies the third podium.

This victory is very historic for Sainz. The Spaniard is taking his first podium finish since appearing in F1 in 2015.
