Max Planck Humboldt Research Award
Professor Roberto Bonasio, University of Pennsylvania, USA, receives the award, endowed with 1.5 million euros, from the Max Planck Society and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. The award is supplemented by 80,000 euros as personal prize money.
With the Max Planck Humboldt Medal, which is endowed with 60,000 euros, Professor Luciano becomes Marraffini, Rockefeller University New York and Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
Lautenschläger research award
Professor Hannah Monyer, Heidelberg University Hospital, receives the award worth 250,000 euros. The prize is donated by Dr. hc Manfred Lautenschläger. The prize for young researchers, endowed with 25,000 euros, goes to Professor Felix Joos, University of Heidelberg.
German business award
Professor Bernd Fitzenberger, Institute for Employment Research in Nuremberg, receives the award, endowed with 150,000 euros, from the Joachim Herz Foundation.
Professor Amelie Schiprowski, University of Bonn, receives the first young talent award, endowed with 25,000 euros, Professor Jan Nimchik, European School of Management and Technology, Berlin, the second award, endowed with 15,000 euros, and Professor Hanno Foerster, Boston College, USA, the third young talent award, endowed with 10,000 euros.
Great science award
Professor Tobias Moser, Universitätsmedizin Göttingen, receives the award, endowed with 100,000 euros, from the French Fondation Pour l’Audition.
Christiane Herzog Prize
Dr. Simon Graves, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, receives the 50,000 euro award from the Christiane Herzog Foundation.
Paul Martini Prize
Professor Peter Bold, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, receives the 50,000 euro award from the Paul Martini Foundation.
Heinz Gumin Prize for Mathematics
Professor Wolfgang Hackbusch, Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Natural Sciences in Leipzig, is honored by the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Foundation and receives prize money of 50,000 euros.
Science Award “Research in Responsibility”
Professor Maria-Esther Vidal, Leibniz Information Center for Technology and Natural Sciences in Hanover, receives the 50,000 euro award from the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft.
Alfred Kordelin Prize
Professor Anneli Sarhimaa, University of Mainz, receives the award, endowed with 30,000 euros, from the Finnish Alfred Kordelin Foundation.
Eugen Münch Prize
Privatdozent Dr. novel Schniepp, University Hospital of the LMU Munich, receives the award, endowed with 20,000 euros, from the Münch Foundation in the science category.
Rainer Markgraf Prize
Professor Ute Schmid, University of Bamberg, is honored by the Rainer Markgraf Foundation and receives prize money of 20,000 euros.
X-ray price
Dr. Jan Rothhardt, Helmholtz Institute Jena and University of Jena, receives the award, endowed with 15,000 euros, from the University of Giessen.
Millerpreis
Dr. Gerhard Schmalz and Professor Dirk Ziebolz, both Polyclinic for Dental Preservation and Periodontology, University of Leipzig, and Dr. Christian Binner and Professor Jens Garbade, both Clinic for Cardiac Surgery, Heart Center Leipzig, received the award, endowed with 10,000 euros, from the German Society for Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine.
University manager of the year
Professor Anja Steinbeck, Rector of the University of Düsseldorf, is recognized by the weekly newspaper DIE ZEIT and the CHE Center for University Development. The “Special Award” presented for the first time goes to Professor Sabine art, President of the Humboldt University of Berlin, who was named “University Manager of the Year” ten years ago when she was President of the University of Potsdam.
Award for Excellence in the Study of Religion
Privatdozentin Dr. Isabel Laack, University of Heidelberg, is recognized by the American Academy of Religion.
Harry H. HESS Medal
