Cardinals – Eagles (17-20): Philadelphia continues to fly

The Eagles have faltered, but they maintain their invincibility.

Arizona Cardinals (2-3) – Philadelphia Eagles (5-0): 17-20

The last undefeated team of the 2022 NFL season travels to Glendale to face the Cardinals, authors of a mediocre start to the season.

While Philadelphia struggled in the 2nd period after a successful 1st period, Arizona had the opportunity to snatch the extension but Matt Ammendola missed the basket on the field equalization.

Prior to this decisive action Arizona thought he would get the first try but Kyler Murray slipped too soon. Which led them to their 4th try and then this one basket on the field missed, allowing Nick Sirianni’s team to maintain their invincibility.

We do not change habits (or almost)

As usual, Arizona is in reaction, symbolized by an interception by Kyler Murray (28/42, 250 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) from his second offensive streak. Philadelphia is aggressive as usual, offering a varied play and scores at 2 QB sneak in de Jalen Hurts (26/36, 239 yards – 15 courses, 61 yards, 2 TDs).

Except Arizona start their game in the 2nd quarter and (finally) score a touchdown in the 1st half of this season. Touchdown signed the Marchioness ‘Hollywood’ Brown (8 REC, 78 yards, 1 TD) who interrupts 2 tackles after a pass by Kyler Murray in the center.

Arizona, so close, so far

The defenses take over in the second half. Haason Reddick remembers the fond memories of his former club by firing Kyler Murray. Arizona responds with a lot of Byron Murphy. But the observation is the same for the 2 teams: points are missing. The losses of Jason Kelce and Landon Dickerson on the offensive line affect the attack of the Eagles, and in particular of Jalen Hurts who no longer finds AJ Brown (3 REC, 32 yards).

Arizona crosses the ground and in a streak of 12 games for 90 yards, Eno Benjamin (8 games, 25 yards, 1 TD) scored his first touchdown of the season. Philadelphia then eats the clock for nearly 7 minutes. In this series, Jalen Thompson doesn’t get far from intercepting Jalen Hurts.

This still allows rookie Cameron Dicker to put the basket on the field which will prove to be that of the victory before the failure of Matt Ammendola.
