Car production in Ukraine increased in October

Eurocar, the only automaker in Ukraine, managed to increase production despite the war.

As of October 2022, the plant has produced 241 vehicles. This is 2.6 times more than a year earlier. At an enterprise in the Transcarpathian region, several Skoda models are produced using the SKD method: the Superb sedan, as well as the Kodiaq and Karoq crossovers.

Since the beginning of November, this is so far the only car factory that has resumed production since the start of the war. The company’s conveyor belt was launched in June. Previously, a center for internally displaced persons worked in the Eurocar workshops.

For 10 months of 2022, Ukrainian auto factories produced 1,756 passenger cars. This is 37% less than in the same period of 2021.
