Two young men got into the water by car on Friday evening after they claimed to have fled for a cat. The accident happened on the Kanaalweg, a narrow dyke road. The passengers were released with a fright.

The car was driving on the Kanaalweg when a cat crossed the road and the driver turned away. As a result, the car landed on the roadside and then slid down into the water, through a mesh fence. The vehicle will be salvaged by a recovery service.
