Car Dealers Lower Prices, Old Xpander On Sale!

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Towards the end of the year is usually the right time to buy a new car unit. One of the driving factors is that dealers want to lower the price of cars for older models. As a result, consumers can get a car unit at a much cheaper price.

One of them is the Mitsubishi Xpander where the new and old prices feel quite far. For example, for the most expensive type, the New Xpander Premium Package is priced at IDR 291.41 million, while the old one is IDR 281.47 million. Both prices are subject to relaxation of the Sales Tax on Luxury Goods (PPnBM).

“For the old model, we talk about discounts, so PPnBM discounts + dealer discounts. Meanwhile cashback from dealers Rp. 7.5 million for all old Xpanders,” a Mitsubishi salesperson in Jabodetabek told CNBC Indonesia, Monday (6/12/21).

This means that after receiving an additional discount from the dealer, the price of the highest type of Xpander is IDR 273.97 million. Meanwhile, the second most expensive Xpander type, the New Xpander Cross CVT, is now priced at IDR 281 million. While the old model is IDR 268.93 million with an additional dealer discount, it becomes IDR 261.43 million.

“For the new model, it’s only PPnBM discounts, but the old models are added with dealer discounts,” he said.
