Car crashes into bus: man dies, several injuries

A man died in a collision between a car and a bus in Breisgau. The 78-year-old had turned his car into federal road 3 in Kenzingen (Emmendingen district) on Friday afternoon and had not paid attention to the right of way for the bus traveling there, the police said.

The man and his 74-year-old passenger got caught in the car in a head-on collision. The fire department released both. The 78-year-old died at the scene of the accident and his passenger was seriously injured in a rescue helicopter to the Freiburg University Hospital.

Several people were slightly injured on the bus, which according to the police had several harvest workers.
