The President of the Russian Federation intends to “legitimize” the entry into Russia of new Ukrainian territories.

It is likely that on 4 October the president of Russia Vladimir Putin he will take another step in an attempt to annex new territories of Ukraine – “legitimize” with his signature the entry into the Russian Federation of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, as well as parts of Kherson and Zaporozhye.

This was stated by Putin’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, during a press conference.

Previously, the decision to include Ukrainian territories in Russia was made by the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.

And the Kremlin plans to complete the annexation procedure by amending the Russian Constitution on the basis of a corresponding Putin decree. This was stated by the head of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building Andrei Klishas, according to Russian media.

Later it became known that the members of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation approved the relevant federal constitutional law.
