According to Alex Bonnema, general manager of Caparis, work in the mail department, facility management and bicycle assembly will continue for the time being.
‘Take it for granted’
According to Bonnema, it is necessary to close the departments. “We want to prevent the entire establishment from becoming infected,” he said. “You do not know if it stays here, or if there are more infections, so you take it for granted for the uncertain.” The source and contact investigation has been started immediately in consultation with the GGD and Bonnema hopes to receive a large number of results on Wednesday.
The company has also closed departments for a few days in previous corona infections, but there were not as many infections as is currently the case in Leeuwarden, says the general manager. It is not yet clear when the departments can reopen.
