An octogenarian from German-speaking Switzerland drowned Saturday morning in Lake Maggiore in Gerra Gambarogno (TI). The 83-year-old man, who was bathing in the lake, disappeared as he joined the shore.
The body was found twenty meters from the shore three meters deep, said the Ticino cantonal police.
