Coatzacoalcos, Ver., January 6, 2022.- The municipal government of Coatzacoalcos, chaired by Amado Jesús Cruz Malpica, through the Directorate of Social Development in coordination with the Sanitary Jurisdiction Number XI, this Wednesday in the Independencia park and in the Alameda began the Canine and Feline Rabies Vaccination Day. The head of Social Development, Margarita Santopietro Peralta explained that these vaccination days are held annually in order to eradicate and keep the rabies virus 100% controlled. “It is so that all pets have this vaccine and citizens are also calm because it is for the health of animals and also for us in case a dog escapes or can bite someone,” he said. He explained that this Thursday , there will also be two offices for people to go to the closest points; the first will be located in the Barrillas and Agustín Hernández Health Centers in the Primero de Mayo neighborhood, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Santopietro Peralta stressed that there are no limits to the doses to be applied that the population can attend and take advantage of these days. “It is a request from our President, Amado Jesús Cruz Malpica, who is concerned about the health of the animals and that is why we bring all these services closer to the citizenry,” he said. It is necessary to mention that the Pets can be immunized even during gestation and after two months of birth. For her part, citizen María Esther Trejo thanked the authorities for bringing these free services to the population and invited citizens to take advantage of them and not miss the opportunity. “It seems perfect to me because many people do not have to pay for a private vaccine and the truth is that the care is very good, take advantage of it, it is very fast,” he said.
